Her deep understanding of the harp from both a musicians perspective and a technician’s perspective allows for her to approach each repair/regulation with a musician’s sensitivity to the tonality, touch and performance demands, as well is a technician’s precision and attentiveness to mechanical detail. She is able to perceive subtle changes in sound quality, string tension and overall playability that many non-harpist technicians might overlook. This dual insight enables her to diagnose problems more throughly and provide more nuanced solutions that are specific to each player/harp pair.
